Bail of Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks was arrested on December 1, 1955 because she refused to give up a seat to a white man. Clifford Durr, a white attorney assisted Ms. Parks in freeing her from jail. Nixon put his house on bond to raise enough money to bail her.
